Sigh...At least some good news. People must understand, the U.S. economy and it's health, is important to the world economy. It affects us all. These numbers do offer some relief, however, there is still the issue of the deficit with China, and most worrisome; the cost of the war in Iraq.

These statistics, coupled with the debt/deficit run up by the cost of the war in Iraq, does not bode well for the future. It will make any economic policy to cope with these two issues difficult in the future. The U.S. does have a valid point however, the Chinese ought to allow their currency the yuan, to float in the market. The undervaluing of the yuan has contributed greatly to their phenomenal economic growth. This has made their export products to North America so cheap, even with shipping! Both the U.S. and Canada's manufacturing sector have been adversely effected over the last fifteen years or so, as a result.
