Governments are going to have to start taking this seriously.
As the global population expands, the resources of the planet will be in greater demand, as such, those resources will diminish accordingly.
Coupled with global climate change and the pollution created by this population growth, the strain on these resources will become severe.
As a result, the competition among nations will become more intense for access to these decreasing resources; making it more likely that military conflicts will occur more frequently and be more intense in the future.
It is in the collective interests of all the members of the international community, and the citizens of the globe, that this problem be addressed in a timely fashion.
